Hexin Machinery USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Purchasing Specialist / Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting our growing operations in the North American market, including the United States and Mexico, with a focus on sourcing production line components and custom-fabricated steel structures.

Work closely with engineering, project management, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials that meet technical and quality requirements. Source and manage suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and support supply chain optimization to reduce cost and increase reliability. Coordinate and manage the full procurement process, including RFQ, bid evaluation, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.

Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers in the U.S., Mexico, and beyond to support machinery manufacturing and structural fabrication needs. Liaise with internal teams and international stakeholders to ensure alignment on procurement plans, lead times, and inventory control. Conduct supplier audits, quality checks, and corrective action follow-ups to ensure ongoing compliance with company standards.

Prepare procurement reports, maintain ERP system records, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing practices. Lead and support special projects related to cost reduction, localization, and vendor development in North America.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or sourcing within the machinery, equipment, or steel fabrication industry.
• Solid understanding of production line mechanical parts, electromechanical components, and custom steel fabrication processes (e.g., welding, machining, painting).
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and understanding technical specifications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage supplier relationships across borders.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin or Spanish proficiency is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
• Willingness to travel within the U.S. and Mexico as needed.
