Position Overview:

Hexin Machinery USA, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Automation Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced automation solutions across our customer sites. This position is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience in industrial controls, PLC programming, robotics, and factory automation systems. The Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, mechanical design, and project management to ensure successful delivery of turnkey automation projects. This role involves travel to customer locations for system commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, program, and implement control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.

2. Develop electrical schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent tools.

3. Configure and troubleshoot industrial automation equipment, including sensors, drives, and servo systems.

4. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure complete integration of automation systems.

5. Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment at customer sites.

6. Optimize system performance through control logic refinement and process improvements.

7. Maintain project documentation, including control logic diagrams, manuals, and testing procedures.

8. Support root-cause analysis and corrective action planning for automation-related issues.

9. Stay informed of emerging automation technologies and industrial best practices.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

2. 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, or control systems engineering.

3. Proficient in programming Siemens, Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), or Mitsubishi PLCs.

4. Hands-on experience with robotics integration, SCADA systems, and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.).

5. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.

6. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design tools is highly desirable.

7. Experience with automotive, manufacturing, or logistics automation environments is a plus.

8. Willingness to travel up to 40%, including domestic and occasional international locations.

9. Bilingual skills in Chinese and English are preferred.
